The official LDS positions are things like "the Book of Mormon is the most correct [except for the 4000+ changes] book in the world", and whenever JS encountered a contradictory passage in the Bible he would comment, "that was written by some old Jew with no authority".

Just because you have not heard it does not mean it is a lie.
My in-depth study of LDS was in the early 90's. I recall many facts that I studied, but do not have the references before me. However, if I quote it, I will try to locate the reference to it, and if I can't I will retract it.
Since you did not comment on it, I will assume you agree with the rest of the statement.
David, unless you have more to say, I would like to put this thread to sleep. It has gone in some pretty big circles, and I have had to repeatedly type the same thing several times, and restate my position over and over, and I am tired. If you have not gotten it by now, then my repeating it will not help. If you choose to respond, you will have the last word.
