Chris,
Your statements below seem amazingly unprofessional to me. If you are going to spout “facts” and “statistics” like you know what you are talking about, it is imperative that YOU provide your references. Every medical journal article goes into great detail to verify its facts; not only to prove them, but also to sincerely seek correction if anything is incorrect. No medical professional would dream of having such a secretive approach as to say, “If you want to know where I got that bit of information, you’ll just have to be as witty as I am and look it up for yourself.”
To require the reader to re-invent the wheel by digging it up information you are quoting is not only stingy, but smacks of trying to hide the real original facts so that you can present them with your own particular interpretation. Perhaps this is how the gullible are led to believe in undocumented, innuendo-based conspiracy theories.
As long as you have your research at hand, wouldn’t it make much more sense (and be much kinder) to provide MORE, instead of LESS, information to back up your assertions? If we are to take you seriously (as we would sincerely prefer to do), you might want to behave in such an above-board manner. This would show that you respect the intelligence of your audience.
Otherwise, you could just state it as personal opinion. We have LOTS of that on TT. J

> That's not a reference.
It didn't purport to be a reference.
> How are we suppose to look that up?
A little bit of effort is required. You could just ask nicely for the reference, or you could use the tiniest bit of ingenuity to find it for yourself. All the information you need to find it is in the lay (NOT scientific journal intended) article.

There's no maybe about it. If you were more attentive to the mail on your own list and to Scripture (James 1:19-20) you would know these things.

That article was written for general distribution to common people. It is completely accurate in all its representation.
