I think that since different students learn in different ways, it is good that they have access to other ways of putting things. When students are confused, sometimes it only takes a word from someone else - and suddenly everything is clear! It's to do with viewpoints. When someone doesn't understand the background context, they can lose all the cues that others are picking up. Like a couple going in to a party - the woman may see the relationships but the guy sees the beer and the exits. Can we talk sport now?
