I tried to find this article at the link you provided, but could not. I searched Amazon.com for this book, but did not find it. I believe that Ashcroft is a true believer in Yeshua. The Scriptures say not to receive an accusation against an elder except in the mouth of two or three witnesses. I do not believe this report as it stands, so please provide proper direct evidence for this assertion. Please present first hand testimony, not hearsay. I also want to point out that encouraging people not to preach to others during their prayer, or encouraging them to pray in a way that would not disturb the purpose for which the meeting is being called, is not the same thing as denying Christ. Especially in this day and age, there is pressure to stop prayer altogether, so one ought to be circumspect and wise in how they pray. This is especially true when enemies of the gospel are accusing you of bringing your faith and religion into the office of Attorney General. Ashcroft has been very open about his personal faith in Jesus Christ, and he has taken a lot of heat for it. Frankly, I'm encouraged to hear that he opens meetings with prayer, rather than discouraged that he might encourage his staff not to repeatedly mention the name "Yahshua" in their prayers. I do not believe these commentaries that you have offered about him. Ashcroft is my brother in Christ. Perhaps he has said and has done things that you might find difficult to understand, but God has called him to a place where you and I are not called. Let us not twist his words out of their context for the purpose of denying his relationship to Christ and us, his brothers and sisters in Christ. Peace be with you.
