Terry,  Very interesting.  I always thought she brought them because of the scripture below.  And it seemed that we just assumed they were poor.  (When I grew up we considered anyone who could afford his own business to be well off. J)  Do you think they were still poor after receiving the gifts from the magi? Maybe that’s how they were able to afford to set up a carpentry business? Izzy
