I was just sitting in my deer stand this evening,
wondering about something that has no bearing on my salvation, but something
about which I would nevertheless like to have an answer.
Jesus waited until He was thirty years of age to
begin His ministry. Why that age? Did it have something to do with
Jewish tradition? Was there something in the Law that stated the age when
a person could be a priest or teacher?
I have seen many younger preachers, some in their
early twenties. I even remember a child evangelist. Jesus was
obviously more qualified at an earlier age than any of these, so why did He
wait?
Anyone have an
answer?
