There is a passage from one of the gospels indicating these evil spirits were trying to inhabit the bodies of men, then were cast into swine--apparently they preferred that to being unembodied. Will check it out, see if I can find it. > notice that if what he states is true, then none of these angles can be > saved, i.e., there is no salvation for them. They are doomed to judgement. ***Blaine: I'd say that was correct. Their condemnation is that they may never be able to progress to an embodied state, as we who chose to follow Jehovah were allowed to do. > The fact that we humans can be saved, though sinners, also distinguishes us > from the Angels. Blaine--Yes, from the angels--spirit disciples--of Satan. > > You said, "In the Book of Daniel, Michael was the same spirit that left > Adam's body when he died." I would like to see a reference to this in the > Bible. Perry ***Blaine: I wish it were there (:>) That would be neat if all LDS doctrine could be verified from the Bible. One of the purposes of the BoM and other latter-day scriptures has been to restore the truths that were held anciently, but got lost either through neglect, poor translations or deliberately excluding them from the present Bible. That is why DaveH and I try to emphasize this great loss to mankind, and encourage others to have faith in God's ability to restore lost truths. But we are too often confronted with those who seem afraid to step forward and take hold of the offerings--too often they say, as the BoM predicts, "A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible and we need no more Bible."
