Not only is this my best shot, but it is dead-on center. The record stands for itself. Your musings and suppositions do not make the BoM true. Give me some hard evidence. Some historical documents from the period, or some archeological evidence. There is none. Your arguments ring hollow and are the speculations of a false church, started by a false proophet, looking for a history.

That was the point. Why else would Jared's brother have to ask god NOT to confound their language? A direct contradiction of Scripture.
Your point seems almost suoerstitous. You have to use a little common sense in interpreting either the Bible or the BoM.

Not exactly, but if it was the greatest nation ever, I would expect to find at least some evidence of it. But ther is none. None. It is fiction. There are no writings, there is no history, there are no artifacts, there is no hard evidence. Nada. Zilch. And, the Bible does not support it.
That does not even seem reasonable to me. What about America, the US? It is clearly greater than any nation--ever--on the earth. Where does it fit in with your 4 great kingdoms predicted by Daniel and others?
Fortunately, neither prophecy nor history depends on what is reasonable to Blane. The US is merely a continuation of the Roman Empire. Read about the legs of iron and feet of iron and clay, with the legs/feet representing the dividing of the last (Roman) empire (Partly strong and partly broken) (Dan 2:41,42)
Obviously the Bible was talking about nations of the Old World, saying nothing of nations on this continent either past or present
This is NOT obvious, Blaine. In fact, it is speaking of world kingdoms. Read Daniel 2 again. These were (and still are) world kingdoms.
