I was born and raised a little further down the river...in a suburb of Louisville: Valley Station, just south of the city, about 20 minutes north of Fort Knox. We lived so far out into the woods we had to go towards town to hunt. On the weekends we'd drive down to Fort Knox to get free samples from the depository.

I went to college at Murray, then UK, and then taught at WKU for 3 years before moving to California. At UK I met some fellow students from Fort Mitchell and Florence. When I left KY for CA, the IQ level of both states went up 3 points.

I have also spent a bit of time in Florida...Daytona, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Treasure Island, but have never lived there.

Hey, I better stop...reminiscing is fun, but the TT'rs are probably bored to tears, if they even bother to click this one open!

I was born in 1933 in Covington, but that was not home. Home was a little
place called Crescent Springs. You walked from Crescent Springs to Fort
Mitchell, then rode the street car through the woods to get to Covington.
Left there in 1949. Never went back until my mother died in 1993, and then
only to bury her next to my dad.
When I lived there, the river was so polluted that all you could catch were
carp and a rare catfish. There were no deer, and very little small game
because people needed to eat and they hunted year round. About all we ever
got were 'possums. When my dad died, we moved to Florida, and I found
paradise.
