Blaine:  I am like Peter--I am not sure I have been converted, but when I am, I hope I will be more teachable and humble than I am now--as a little child is.  I am very arrogant and obnoxious now, right, Kevin?  (:>)  Just kidding.  Actually, I was converted to Mormonism mostly when I was in the US Air Force.  I began attending church in a small serviceman's branch, and the officers and civilian members and their wives took me in. I read their books, and was greatly impressed with the accounts of the first vision, and the visit of Moroni.  Prior to that, I had never heard of these stories, despite the fact I had been officially a Mormon since eight years old.

(Blaine) Matthew 18:3-4 And he said, except ye become converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same
is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Blaine when were you converted? What was the date?
