Kevin,
I think people go to hell for one reason: They
trample under foot the Lord who redeemed them. This is the blasphemy of the
Spirit, of which Jesus speaks.
And so in that sense: yes, I think when little
children die they go to be with Jesus, they go to heaven. Why? because they have
done nothing to trample him under foot.
Please notice my latest post for a larger
explanation on this.

Ignorance is bliss?
So if he had continued in that state he would go to
heaven? "Wm. Taylor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Do you guys mind if I butt in? I do not believe
infants can sin either, not if by "sinning" we mean that God holds them
accountable for their actions. Young children may do things that are
contrary to God's law; in that sense, some may say that they are
sinning. But Paul says where there is no law, there is no transgression (Rom
4.15). He then speaks (see Rom 7) about a time in his own life that he
lived without awareness of the law, and then about what happened to him when
that awareness came:
Rom. 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin?
Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except
through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had
said, "You shall not covet."
8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced
in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was
dead.
9 I was alive once without the law, but
when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found
to bring death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived
me, and by it killed me.
It was only when he became aware of
the law that sin had occasion to be utterly sinful; until then, his thoughts
and actions may have been contrary to the Law, but they were not producing
death in the sense of separating him spiritually from God.
More later on,
Bill
