How do you know it is not? If you are not dealing with it on a daily
basis then it surely is a problem

john: There is therefore now no  condemation  (Ro 8:1)  --
that is how I know.

jt: What you quote above is only partial truth and partial truth is the
same as an untruth.  You need part (b) of Romans 8:1. If you are
walking after the flesh then you are under condemnation because
no flesh will be justified before Him or glory in His presence. Also
without holiness noone is going to see the Lord but then we've
gone over this before and you reject this part of truth
.

No I do not reject the truth.   I cherish it.   And what I read is this:
I am save by faith apart from being right.   That is what it says.  Tell
me what it says if that is not right without running to some other scripture.

jt: How can you be saved by faith in what is wrong? In our generation
sin is much more pervasive and our idolatry expresses itself in all kinds
of other ways...

Sin is sin, judyt.  Paul is talkimg abouit sin and uses what was avaiable
to him in his time.   The point is precisely the same.   Look at what you
are saying.   First, you are admiting that I do have a point, but it is moot
because today's sin is much more sin than in Paul's day.

JT: It's available in our time too and more. I am not saying sin is not
sin or that one sin is worse than another, that is not what pervasive
means. In 58AD they had had meat markets and sacred prostitutes.
Today it is much more subtle, we have literally hundreds of doctrines
that don't conform people to godliness.

Not a good argument  --  and stop telling and others that I do not
care about God's Word.

jt: When did I say that? I'd like to see a copy of my quote.

You hve no idea how much time I spend in prayer and bible study,
do you. If I did not care, I would not be in this group.

jt: No and vice versa.  Same goes for Kevin and you have judged him.
