Hi Laura:  I have a close friend who recently joined this sect. She and her
husband attended a month of lectures on eschatology which drew them in
even though the lecturer lied about his affiliation saying that he did not
represent any particular denomination and they had to find out during the
Saturday worship when they noticed the Adventist Hymnals which would
have put me off.

My friend has some major fear issues so not believing in hell may have been
a draw for her. I notice she and her husband have gone into a lot of legalism,
they have gotten rid of all jewelry including their wedding bands - So far what
I an seeing is all outward stuff and very religious.  Will have to wait and see.

Grace and Peace, judyt
They believe that they are the only church that has the correct doctrine.  (That should be their first clue)

The sabbath is on Sat.  (like I said before, that in and of itself is not a problem)

They believe in observing some kosher dietary laws and no jewelry etc to to ensure righteous standing with God.  Only those considered worthy of salvation will be raised at the second coming.  Also Sunday worship is considered a mark of the beast.

Life after death is really soul sleep until resurrection and judgment at the second coming.  The lost will be raised after the millennium, judged by Christ and cast into the lake of fire where they are totally annihilated forever.  No eternal hell.

This is the basic beliefs.  WIERD   Laura
