Oops. Sorry. I thought you were referring to how one can handle one a person in such a state.

Submitting to the Scriptures, to the voice of the Spirit within you, and submitting to the brethren who support you is a great start. Also, I believe that having "accountability buddies" might be a good thing as well. Right now, I am under the authority of those who teach me (this includes both men and women). Were it not for them, I know I would have slipped in my journey this last year. I thank God for them, and I will continue to have a series of people "over" me even when/if I return to a leadership position.

I don’t get the connection with Jude 21-23.  Can you elaborate a bit? How would you recommend someone be accountable? Izzy

Slade, Good points indeed.  What do you see as the solution to your last sentence? Izzy

I saw the movie as well, but I was disturbed by it. While John saw positive aspects to it, I am the opposite. I saw how easily it is for a man (a leader with little or no accountability) to fall from grace and sanity, and drift into the cultic and cult-leader status.

While I do not want to sit and "judge" whether the man/men really was saved, is saved, or is not saved... I do use him as well as other "leaders" I've met as a midrash (parable) on the delicacy of our walk with YHVH. I will pray and intercede for them because most "listen to no one but the spirit" or "have no need for a man to teach them."
