I saw the movie as well, but I was disturbed by it. While John saw positive aspects to it, I am the opposite. I saw how easily it is for a man (a leader with little or no accountability) to fall from grace and sanity, and drift into the cultic and cult-leader status.

While I do not want to sit and "judge" whether the man/men really was saved, is saved, or is not saved... I do use him as well as other "leaders" I've met as a midrash (parable) on the delicacy of our walk with YHVH. I will pray and intercede for them because most "listen to no one but the spirit" or "have no need for a man to teach them."

Do you mean The Apostle with Robert Duval? What did you think was the moral of the story? Izzy
