Terry, The Father wanted Jesus to be baptized. Izzy

Matt3:13   Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him.

14   But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?"

15   But Jesus answering said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness."

Deuteronomy 6:25

It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all this commandment before the LORD our God, just as He commanded us.

Subject: [TruthTalk] question

Was just sitting here minding my own business, and a question popped

into my head.  There is probably a simple answer, but I cannot think of

it, so any help will be appreciated.

The question is: Why was Jesus baptized?  Certainly not to be saved, and

not for the remission of sins, so why?

Terry
