When some introduce a response to a previous post they often preceed it with a name followed by a colon, such as "Perry:". However, some use this to mean "This is a response to Perry:", while others use it to mean "Perry wrote the following:". Most of the time we know exactly who posted which lines, but occasionally this can cause minor confusion as to whether a response is targeted TO the named individual, or was a previous post BY the named individual.

On TT, this nomenclature has traditionally has meant "xxxxx wrote the following:". It really does not matter which way it is used, but I wanted to point out that two conventions are being used, and remind you to watch for the subtle difference when responding to or reading other's responses.
