I understand the “whatever”
prayer. I’ve been there. I notice that usually when I need to pray
the most I can’t even mumble a “whatever”—I’m
just at a loss altogether. But as far as worrying about sending a
hurricane somewhere else, I agree with Michael—others need to cover their
own territory. Hurricane’s can dissipate. All you should pray
for is not to send it elsewhere, but just for protection wherever you want
