Certainly. How much scripture must one use in his/her communication to be regarded as "biblical" in effect?

SOME would be nice! How can one build a whole theology of Christ without His written Word? (Krugerâs theology is a case in point!) It is all taken from his yearnings and imaginings and built on the thin air of human rationalization rather than on the firm foundation of scripture.
If this book is preached cover to cover, it would be approximately a 90 to 100 minute lesson containing 38 scriptures!!!! That would be good, even for a Bible thumpin pastor.
John, Luther was obviously much used of God as he got out of the RCC heresy. But he took much of that heresy with him when he left, which still remains in the Lutheran group. (He was also terribly anti-Semitic.) When I left the RCC my first âstopâ was the Lutheran church, as it was most like what I was used to. But then I got a real taste for going on with the Lord and learning from His word, and moved on. The more one feeds on the word, the less one needs the human substitutions of outward ritual and traditions of men and philosophies of men. When you get into a first-person relationship you donât want secondary things (which were possibly at one time helpful in pointing you towards Him) getting in the way. Thus, diffârent strokes for diffârent folks.
Because of that last sentence, I say amen to this paragraph. Our institutions stimie our growth, for the most part. But we should be careful not to confuse them with that which is truly evil.
I donât mind discussing, but I refuse to argue about such things because I trust the Holy Spirit to lead those who are truly His into ever-fuller Truth. I am not the Holy Spirit, and none of us can be âarguedâ out of whatever we cling to for comfort at the moment. If you, or Lance, or Jonathan truly have a heart for God I trust Him to lead you beyond Kruger and whatever other superficial, feel-good theologies are out there to a deeper understanding and relationship with the real Jesus Christ. It takes faith and courage. We are all traveling on the road to Christ; hopefully in the right direction. Blessings, Izzy
That's me -- feel good over anything exegetical or hermeunically sound.
