Terry I found this at http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/cms_content/164674208?page=192385&sp=57649#LPGP
I think that since they can mean different things to different publishers (they are just relative to the standard version) it may be wise to stick to the point size of the text.
A quick word about "Large" and "Giant" print. Obviously, "Large Print" may mean different things to different people. One person may have no trouble seeing something set in 10 point text, another may think it's too small, and may prefer 12 point or even larger print.
Unfortunately, the same can be said for publishers also. To some publishers, "large print" simply means that a given edition is larger print than their standard edition. In some cases, this is not saying much. For instance, The "Large Print" Edition of the Thompson Chain Reference Bible features 9-point text and 7-point notes. While this is larger than their standard edition (8-Point text, 6-point notes) and is therefore comparatively "large", it is definitely not large print in the most common sense.
"Giant Print" is the same way. Just because a Bible is refered to as "Giant Print", does not necessarily mean that it is larger than large print. Some publishers simply use the term "Giant Print" to designate their larger-than-normal print size Bibles, while others choose to call them Large Print.
The important thing to make note of in the descriptions of these Bibles is the stated "point" size of the text. We have highligted the point size in bold text in the descriptions on this page.
