I never asked you to answer whether I would call it active or passive.  I
asked for you to characterize it as such.  Therefore, according to your own
definition and understanding of the terms, would YOU characterize Abraham as
an active or passive participant in the covenant?


As I understand Slade and the question you posed, the answer could be either "passive" or "active"  depending upon what you mean.   Perhaps the question is poorly presented.   To think that your characterization of passive and active is of no concern to Slade is to deny the fact that you will  construct a response based upon what is supplied as an answer  --  and your response will reveal your particular bias at that time.
