Subject: RE: [TruthTalk] The Schizophrenic God   The Holy Spirit always makes the Bible relevant for today.  (A task for which we do not need theologians; but try convincing them.) Are you sure? I've heard many people talk about the Five Offices. Are you saying we only need four?    Are you talking about the gift of teaching, Slade? We certainly need people to teach the real Word.  We just don’t need people making up new “interpretations” of eternal, never-changing truths.  Some do, some don’t.  I’m hopeful the John is reading a really good one, as it seems like he is getting a lot out of it.  Sometimes I also forget that we are on different places in our walk with God, and what is good for us at one time does not minister to us a other times/places.  I trust the Holy Spirit guides everyone who has an open seeking heart—certainly Smithson included.
