Just think how much truth is lost because of carnality. Discussions cannot even proceed when we get bogged down in envying, strife, and divisions. It seems like Jesus and the apostles were always trying to share truth with others, only to be met with backbiting and whispering and outright insults and attacks. Of course, then they themselves were blamed for the uproars and usually suffered at the hands of the court system because of it.

I am going to preach in another Christmas parade today, in about 2 hours. Pray that people will hear the message as I encourage people to make Jesus Christ the center of their holiday, not Santa Claus. I also encourage them to think of Jesus Christ dying on the cross for their sins and not just of the baby in a manger. I will be carrying a large wooden cross as I preach to them. Last Saturday, I carried a cross and my whole family passed out tracts as we marched the parade. I was followed by 20 people carrying wooden crosses and music, "The Old Rugged Cross," played from the back of a truck and trailer. I preached the remission of sins through faith in Jesus Christ.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
