Gary from what planet out there are you writing
from and is it fair to take one line out of context and make it say something DM
never intended? This is the same kind of gymnastics some do with scripture to
their own hurt....
David Miller wrote: If you simply say that
consultation with others is helpful, that is fine, but to say it is necessary
crosses a line whereby faith becomes placed not just in Jesus Christ and the
Spirit of Truth, but in the arm of the flesh, in teachers within our
community. Those who do such invariably get led into error. God does
not stand for it. He will actually send deception in
such situations and break up that community of believers.
Which wisdom has nothing to do with
Jerusalem AD70 or the Roman Empire; it comes from 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 which
reads "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish
because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved, and
for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie; that they all might be damned who believed not
the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness..." Now how can you argue
with that?
