Pssst Judy (he said whispering) you are the ONE (of the two aforementioned subjects) with the sense of humour (Cdn sp).

Will you favour (Cdn sp) us with more OZ anecdotes? I enjoyed  the others.

jt: Are you and tt on the same wavelength Lance?  This clarifies a lot that appeared to me to be inexplicable :)
While in OZ I listened to public radio which broadcasts ABC as well as BBC and I happened to hear this British intellectual fellow commenting on the US election - for a moment I thought I was back on TT reading you and Jonathan. He spoke of the evil Republicans buying lists and consumer data so they could swing the election and announced that most Americans feel hostile to those overseas and that the decision to own a Volvo in the US is a hostile act, he claimed that it is a sinister act because it means they "like" overseas and went on to describe how swing voters were barraged with stuff and his consensus was that the election was stolen.  So WDYT?

When Jt & Dm combine forces the only thing one can do is show a white flag. Go back to speaking well of Seinfeld and the Simpsons. You'll stand a better chance with that line of argument as I believe one of these two has a sense of humour? (Cdn sp)

Gary from what planet out there are you writing from and is it fair to take one line out of context and make it say something DM never intended? This is the same kind of gymnastics some do with scripture to their own hurt....

David Miller wrote: If you simply say that consultation with others is helpful, that is fine, but to say it is necessary crosses a line whereby faith becomes placed not just in Jesus Christ and the Spirit of Truth, but in the arm of the flesh, in teachers within our community.  Those who do such invariably get led into error.  God does not stand for it.  He will actually send deception in such situations and break up that community of believers.

Which wisdom has nothing to do with Jerusalem AD70 or the Roman Empire; it comes from 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 which reads "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved, and for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; that they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness..."  Now how can you argue with that?
