Jt:Well said. Did I just say 'well said'? I should like to believe that I understand your 'take' on this 'sin & sickness' business. ...A&E would never have experienced either except for........Then 'except for...saw the introduction of both. Ever since 'except for' (this wording is to accomodate the Bishop of California) both S&S are simply a part of everyone's life. Close?

jt: No Lance sigh! it's not a shot; if either of you (that is you and Jonathan) would take a few minutes away from Ivan Rebroff in order to read Deuteronomy 28 and Deuteronomy 29 in a humble and prayerful manner you would see the connection between sickness and sin. Everything God created was 'good' and there was no sickness before sin entered the world so it is surprising to me that you leave sin, sickness, and all that outside of the "incarnation"  jht

Jt:As Arch used to ask the meathead: 'was that a shot'? Those of us who remember the correspondence between the two of you on this matter (sickness & sin), wouldn't like to see it repeated. I believe it to have crossed the line of consideration for anyone, not just a fellow believer. I do understand that you 'calls 'em as you sees 'em' Judy. Let's leave off right here, OK?

According to your "faith" so be it unto you JBH - Apparently your God of love and community leaves his creatures afflicted, halt, and lame, for no apparent reason.... Whereas my God was wounded for my transgression, bruised for my iniquity, and by His stripes I am healed as I seek to do His will and to walk in His "regulative" ways  .....  jht

jt: Jesus didn't say there was no generational sin involved, what he did say was that the problem was not with the man or his parents and that His (Jesus) priority at that moment was to work the works of God.  Remember? Jesus came to do good and to heal ALL who were oppressed by the devil for God was with Him.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is making scripture say what we want it to say to back up our regulative beliefs. (1 Judy 13:20)  JBH
