DAVID:
Are there any verses anywhere in all of Scripture that speak of Jesus being
the Son of God prior to this event? What would be wrong with the viewpoint
that Jesus always was God, and became the Son of God when born of Mary?

SLADE:
Hello, David. You call for the impossible for no Scripture calls Jesus he
Son of God before the announcement of His arrival. You can't play that way.
   Perhaps you could look to what I've heard called the.... (scratch that;
if you were to use the term it would be inflammatory).........

Surely I [slade] am more stupid than any man
And I do not have the understanding of a man.
     Neither have I learned wisdom
Nor do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.
Who has ascended into heaven and descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has wrapped the waters in His garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name or His son's name?
     Surely you know!

DAVID:
If Jesus was begotten the Son of God at some point in eternity past, does
this not mean that he was created on a particular day? How do you overcome
this difficulty? The fundamentalist MacArthur seems to have cowered to
religious political pressure and simply calls it a mystery. Do you have a
better, more rational answer?

SLADE:
Quite simply, it's a Hebrew Id..... scratch that. We've been asked "why we
can not forget about both Greek and Hebrew mindsets."
