So true, but sadly, the illiterate or the country bumpkin with a 4th-grade education will miss out on some incredible and wow-ing insights gained from deep study in the Hebrew or Greek. Are they necessary? No... that's never been argued to my knowledge (and even if it has, it's not been MY argument). Does Hebrew and Greek create a fuller understanding? Absolutely.

You are probably right, my friend, but taint gon happen here.  The eyes are about shot and the brain is missing some of it's connections.  Shorts out easily these days.  My attention span can be measured in microseconds.  I have a KJV Bible that I love but sometimes do not quite understand.  When that happens, I go to the new king James, and if that doesn't clear it up, I go to the contemporary English version.  If that don't work, sometimes I pray more and start over, and other times I give up, hoping the lord will reveal it to me at the proper time.

I already know what I need to know.  The rest is just stuff I would like to know.
Have a great day tomorrow, whether it is the right date or not.

Terry
