There is a problem with sharing long articles written by others on this list. I have reproved Izzy for this in the past. We allow some latitude with sharing articles, but the general guideline is to avoid it, and if you do share it and it is long, provide the link to it rather than copying it. Why? This is a discussion list. We can find information on the web all we like. I had already read most of the articles that Jonathan had sent because they are easily found on the web.
While we allow articles to be shared, Jonathan is somewhat going too far when he first posts that he will no longer post to the list, then he spams article after article to the list. Clearly he does not intend to discuss the articles with us. He just wants to blast his beliefs at us without any discussion. This is not the purpose of this list. We are a discussion list, not a propoganda dissemination station.
So Izzy seems to be saying here that if Jonathan decides to take time off, the general rule is that he should not spam us with articles. She is correct.
