jt: Do you adhere to the philosophy that teaches "the end justifies the means" John?
I'm also interested in the answer to David's question below.

John wrote:   Me too Lance.   No deceit , hypocricy or dishonesty in my life.
Your request is limited to these three failings, correct?

John wrote:  Actually, I just committed all three. Trying to make a point,   Whatever

Oh, man!  What a let down.  I read your first post and believed you and was
very glad for a few seconds, thinking how wonderful you were to confess your
righteousness in Christ.  Then I got to this post where you say that you
just committed all three because you were trying to make a point.  I just
don't get it.  Are you saying that you practice deceit and dishonesty as a
Christian?  If so, what do you think about the following passage:

2 Corinthians 13:5-8 KJV
(5) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be
reprobates?
(6) But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
(7) Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear
approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as
reprobates.
(8) For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

2 Corinthians 13:5-8 NASB
(5) Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or
do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in
you--unless indeed you fail the test?
(6) But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the
test.
(7) Now we pray to God that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may
appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we may
appear unapproved.
(8) For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.

Is this passage a true witness?  Can we do anything against the truth?
Should we do no wrong?  Should we be honest?

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
