LDS are Henotheists
They have a monolatrous relationship with & worship the "god of this world" This is how you can say we believe in One god while following the LDS tenet that there are millions of gods.

In religion and philosophy, henotheism is a term coined by Max Mller, meaning belief in, and possible worship of, multiple gods, one of which is supreme. It is also called inclusive monotheism or monarchial polytheism. According to Mller, it is "monotheism in principle and a polytheism in fact".

Communities which have an exclusive relationship with one deity whilst not denying the existence of other deities are called Monolatrous.

Like monolatrism, henotheism is a cross between monotheism and polytheism. It differs from monolatrism, however, in that monolatrism is the belief in multiple gods, but the worship of only one, whereas henotheism may include the worship of several gods. Thus, henotheism is more similar to polytheism than is monolatrism.

So, you're saying...yes, you believe in multiple gods, but you only worship only ONE God? Or LDS believe in multiple gods and YOU personally only worship/believe in one? Do you think the Trinity doctrine is worshipping three Gods?  Kay

All I did was read the definition. As Christian is defined, lots of denominations would be included.
Are you saying that Dave believes in multiple gods?  Kay
DAVEH:  Yes...... but I believe we are only to worship one God.  IMHO the Bible supports my belief, but a lot of folks have gotten sidetracked by the T-Doctrine.

Woops...that was me, Dave, not Slade. I forgot to sign it.

I would say LDS folks fall under the Christian category.

Kay

Kay, I find it amazing that you believe that a believer in multiple gods is a Christian. How do you figure? izzy
