God inspired and was active in the transmission of the WORDS. He was also active in preserving those WORDS (very Word of God , not message)




Didn't say that.   I am talking about the teaching of  'verbal, pleanary inspiration" offered as reason for confidence in the infallibility of the scriptures.    I believe that the scritptures are authoritative in matters of faith  --  but this teaching is a philosophical necessity (for me) and not something I can prove.
