Unbelievers (the ones I know) are not impressed with "inspiration."   They are impressed with it's (the Bible) trustworthiness as a manuscript;  the praticalities of its message; the internal evidences of some of it claims  (i.e. the resurrection).  I have had the chance to defend the bibilcial accounting on university campii twice  --  both times without making an appeal to "inspiritation."  Once in a debate class and, again, in a social science class.  Additionally, the same "arguments" worked well with my two younger sons while at UCDavis.
