Terry, there is a huge difference between foreknowing (as we see it) and
foreordaining. I do not believe that God directs the cat to catch the
sparrow for example. He gives us all free will and abilities, and what we
do with them is our choice-He just knows ahead of us what the outcome will
be. God never gets bored watching His creation act out His gifts, any more
than I get bored watching my dog and cat play the way they always do-it's
just too delightful. I guess that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

You are correct about the difference between fore knowlege and foreordained. Sometimes I tend to mix the two.
I question though whether God finds watching His creation a delightful experience. I would expect that as He looks on His creations as they "Do their thing", that His tears would hardly be tears of joy. Would you enjoy consigning five thousand people an hour to eternity in Hell?
I think that troubles Him more than we can imagine. Jesus wept over just one city where people chose to ignore His love. How much more when the whole world is doing exactly that?
