If I had a dime for every time I heard this argument.
What do we preach (we are only ANTI's)

I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. My experience is that 99% of the LDS I talk to can not even tell someone what the Gospel is!
Maybe you could tell us what exactly is the Gospel? Please give us your definition.

Maybe you could tell us just why we are not effective in your mind
For someone that is not effective your Church sure expends a lot of Time & Effort & CA$H to stop us. Why not ignore us we are harmless right?
If we are so ineffective and as some LDS say we are actually driving people into your church,
I would think your leaders would want to sponsor a national tour!

Then you can follow up with just why you think we hate LDS
How much time have you spent witnessing our "hatred" personally?
What specific conduct leads you to such a "clear" view of it all.
Why & how does this conduct show the "REAL" intents of our hearts?
Do you read the National Enquirer?
The reason why you will not answer these questions or avoid these questions by answering a different question all the while pretending that you answered the original question is because you just have:
BASELESS ACCUSATIONS you learned from some other Mormon
Sad to say many LDS are just parrots. Sort of like the ROTE Testimonies you practice at ward meetings.
I know that Joseph Smith was a  BLAH BLAH BLAH!

BLAINE: Freedom of speech being the sacred cow that it is, I have no suggestions on how to reach LDS ears and/or hearts with the "evangelical" messages street preachers feel they have for LDS faithful, other than the methods they currently employ. I am sure, however, that these methods are not effective in making converts of LDS to any form of traditional relgion the street preachers advocate. That much seems clear.

Which brings up a question, what do these men advocate? They seem to have no religion of their own--they seem only united on the basis of their mutual hatred of Mormonism, the BoM, JS, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, etc. It's clear to me their inability to tolerate a religion unlike their own (whatever that is) is more at the heart of their activities during Annual Conferences held in Salt Lake City than any religious convictions they might hold otherwise.

The truth horns are for large crowds or areas with lots of Noise

Did you see the presidents State of the Union address?
Is that the only legitimate use of amplification?

Free Speech carries with it the right to be heard.

G,

My question to Blaine was in response to his knocking SP's, particularly
those at the LDS GC and their methods. I thought it would be interesting to
find out what he thinks would be the best way to evangelize Mormons. While
sending out missionaries two by may two work in peoples homes, it is not
practical in a public open-air setting. Dave brought up prayer and
bullhorns. Prayer is not how the Bible tells us people come to faith. While
I believe tht praying for those you wish to come to faith is useful, Paul
tells us that preaching is the way people hear the word of God. Paul made
good on this himself, as did most of the Aposles. As for bullhorns, I must
agree that if someone came into my house with a bullhorn and began to
preach, I would not like it. But, if they needed to be heard over background
noise, hecklers, or other noise in an outdoor setting, I think bullhorns are
a good tool.
