BLAINE: As with the televangelists, Dan Lafferty was the son of his father,
the devil. I read Krakauer's Book, Under The Banner of Heaven, have you read
it, or are you just taking commentary on it and going from there? Dan Lafferty
was deluded, as was his older brother, who instigated the entire affair by
claiming to receive revelations--Dan then carried out his brother's
instructions, fully believing his brother had a pipeline to heaven. This was
the work of two nuts, not just one. These boys were a classic older
brother-younger brother duo, with the older brother establishing his
traditional dominance over the younger. It had more to do with this phenomenom
than influence from the Church doctrines. The older brother hated Dan's wife,
and lied to his younger brother to get him to carry out his revenge against the
woman and her child. Dan only woke up and smelled the roses after he had been
in prison for a long while.
It is evident in the book Dan's brother may have been receiving revelation from
some source other than from above, however. While they were committing the
murder, the unconscious body of the woman they were about to kill moved on its
own accord--away from the intended killer. They took this to be a sign from
heaven that they were engaged in a righteous cause. This was a very scary
senerio, with Satanic signs and wonders accompanying it. You need to read the
book. Judas Iscariot could not have done worse than these men, for being under
Satanic influence.

On Tuesday at the Utah State Prison, Lafferty reiterated in an interview with
KSL Newsradio 1160 that he slashed the throats of his sister-in-law and her
15-month-old daughter 19 years ago � on July 24, 1984 � in a "quest for truth"
and as part of "understanding God."

Dan Lafferty took a vacuum cleaner cord and strangled Brenda Lafferty as she
begged for her child's life, and how he then took a barber's razor and slashed
the throats of her and her daughter. He then wiped the blade on the kitchen
curtains.

Recommends! There are MANY LDS SPLINTER Groups who still follow Joe & claim it
is the LDS that have become Apostates for not believing what it says in the BoM
