For anyone who thinks children are little darlings when their parents don’t know how to discipline, and they are left to their own devices—just try watching “Supernanny” on ABC some Monday night.  What a hoot!!! Izzy     It's the parent's responsibility to "teach them" and I'm sure you excelled in this John.  It's important to God. The reason He chose Abraham is because He knew Abraham was responsible and would instruct his children and teach them to fear Him. (Gen 18:19)    Do you realize that you have changed the subject of my post, the illustrative subject?   You are now making an argument for something I did not write.   Specifically, I was talking about an infant  --   one who did not have language as a skill.   And you come up with a man, Abraham, who served the Lord well and after his righteousness had been accounted for in his faith apart from anything might have done in the future.    jt: I am showing that training children is important to God; we don't know that ALL babies go to heaven even though I would like to think that they do.  Unless I see it clearly in God's Word I wouldn't promote the idea, we should not go past what is written.
