John wrote: And the point of Romans 1? Does the phrase " and such are some of you" ring any bells?
DavidM: No, this phrase does not ring any bells with me. That's the point, John. The Bible does not teach that some of us are homosexuals.JD: We are all something on that list, David. That is the point of Romans 2:1ff. That is the danger of judging others. JDjt: We are supposed to judge and separate ourselves from sin and this should be the message received by others. We all need a bath initially but if we are both hearers and doers of God's Word we should be being washed and cleansed daily - and things should be dropping off. There is something seriously wrong in the professing Church today and IMO it is these doctrines of "tolerance and political correctness" toward sin.Yesterday I had lunch with some Christian ladies (fully committed friends) and one of them has two beautiful unmarried daughters who are both intelligent and talented. She told me that both of them (at different times) had met good looking suitors (men who were both in the Church and professing believers) who became serious with these girls about marriage and a future together. The mother is an intercessor and although things appeared wonderful on the surface she sought the Lord about these relationships asking Him to reveal anything that might be hidden so that her daughters would not be hurt. He is faithful. Turned out one of the men was a closet homosexual who eventually confessed and after their relationship broke down he moved in with a man. The other suitor was bi-sexual. Hidden reefs in the Church love fest that look wonderful on the surface, talented in music ministry and all that. The Church is not a safe place when we have no discernment and are willing to call darkness light. We are proud and naive (like the Corinthians) if we don't deal with this God's way. These young good looking deceivers need someone like Terry to come and show them what is ahead for them if they do not repent and turn from this wickedness because the fruit of sin is more sin. It will possess and destroy them and a hug will not make things better. We don't have to reject these ppl as persons but they need to know up front that either their preferences change and they repent or turn them over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh with the hope that they will come to their senses before it is too late. judyt
