Patristic: God's acts in His being
Reformation: God's being in His acts

Nice little word play there Lance - I know the "liberal triad" are all taken up with the "patristic bent" and those of us who are not of their peculiar persuasion are card filed as having an enlightenment mindset along with the "reformers" - However, God's concern is that we "learn His ways" - were/is anyone concerned about this?  judyt

Karl Barth was probably the most important theologian since Athanasius. He was to theology what Einstein was to science. He brought together the patristic emphasis of God's acts in His being with the reformation emphasis of God's being in His acts. His view of Scripture was similar to that of Jesus.

KD: Anyone critiquing Barth, before Wednesday anyway, hasn't read him, Kevin.

AMEN TO THAT   and only Lance will fully understand by revival type attitude on that!  JD
