No.   I didn’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior when I was 5 years old.  (Neither did I get to attend kindergarten.)  I am more excited by Jesus’ words in scripture.  Izzy

If that’s all you can cling to on your deathbed….well, why go to seminary?  It takes a bit more understanding to realize that not Everyone goes to heaven regardless of John 3:16.  (Remember the “I never knew you” part?)  I personally can’t speak for Barth; I never knew him.  Izzy

You need not know anything of or about either of these men (Einstein/Barth) to participate in that which has been accomplished in the Man Jesus.HOWEVER, that which was spoken by David Miller reflects not the 'scandal of the cross' but, 'the scandal of the evangelical mind'
