imagined and poorly stated biblical text
Barfh can clear it up for us, he will lead us into ALL truth?. He is the Holy Spirit?
He is superior to the "words of men" in the bible? IF you claim that the Bible is the "word of men", and that is a problem, what makes the word of another man (barfh) superior?
this text has inspired the thoughts that he shares.
How do we know where this "INSPIRATION" comes from? A Spirit? His own Spirit?
What is it's source How can we trust it? What is the emblem of it's Truth & Reality?
What is the difference between Barfh & Joseph Smith? Did Barfh recieve Revelation, or just Inspiration?
Is Inspiration a function of men?

Why does it need an explanation?
Barth is sharing his faith with us. He does not feel an obligation that is tied to an imagined and poorly stated biblical text; rather, this text has inspired the thoughts that he shares. You have quoted various commentators and bloggers -- they do the very same in their own way.
