I hope she plans to bequeath a wonderful quilt to you upon her eventual passing—a comforting remembrance.

Did God dictate the Bible to those who wrote it?

====================================================

Paul teaches that the scriptures were inspired.  However, when he taught that, the scriptures were the old testament.  The new one had not been completed.  My assumption is that both were inspired by God.  My definition of inspired means that the Holy Spirit drove them to write their message.  I do not think that the Lord dictated every word any more than He would have told Noah where to put every nail while building the ark.

Terry, I believe that God not only gave inspiration thought by thought, but actually word by word.  Very precisely.  Just like in the OT, which has amazing “coincidences” in the wording.  Izzy
