I do not think that the Lord dictated every word
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
God was very detailed in instructing on building the temple, he even repeated the same instructions a few times.
Why would he be any less detail oriented in giving us His word?
How can we be doers of the word if it only contains that word? Which part is the part that contains?
Surely God knows the word "message"
Why use "word" all the time, unless He wants the message to be it is the WORD of God
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the message of God?
Every day they wrest my words Should be wrest my message?
Every word of God is pure
He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Why did Christ refer to Heaven & Earth passing before a JOT or TITLE passing?
Not even an iota or a small diacritical mark such as the english Period will fail!
There is an immense gulf between your belief & what the bible "contains"
It contains the very word of God, they are not mans words as some suppose but the spiritual words and thus not to be reasoned over with mans rational reasoning. They are supernatural words, words of eternal life Ph 2:16 living words 1 Pt 1 they are capable of cleaning you up JN 15:3 Eph 5:26 It is the Word of Truth Col 1:5
Are we to let the "message" of Christ dwell in us richly?
wherfore comfort one another with these messages?
There are plenty or decievers who mess with the word:
nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We are to study and understand the divisions in the word not to study to locate the parts that "contain" the word of God
JN 17 these things I speak in the world...I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them
My definition of inspired means that the Holy Spirit drove them to write their message.
when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God
It seems this inspiration or moving may have been VOCAL not writing which scribes did see Jeremiah's scribe who recorded his words and added many like words after the king destroyed the scroll I think you will find that only Paul wrote in his "own hand"
God Manifests His word thru preaching Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching
HOLY MEN SPAKE not WROTE 2 PT 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2 PT 1:21 but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
INSPIRATION IS OF GOD Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
2 tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The fact of the Word and our mutual regard for its primary place centers our attention and presents a circumference to our discussion without (and here is the miracle I think) setting any limits to our progress in The Life. I must add that "verbal and plenary inspriation" is no more the workings of God than an appeal for the "providential" supply of the Word.
In your opinion were the men who wrote inspired?
====================================================
Paul teaches that the scriptures were inspired. However, when he taught that, the scriptures were the old testament. The new one had not been completed. My assumption is that both were inspired by God. My definition of inspired means that the Holy Spirit drove them to write their message. I do not think that the Lord dictated every word any more than He would have told Noah where to put every nail while building the ark.
