JT, may one inquire(?): 'figment' means what (to you)? meang, your observation may have some validity
 
here's the issue requiring some conversational adjustment:
 
you and Kevin both, from what one's reads here, are citing similar concerns with, e.g., KBarth's theology; however, in both cases, the concerns are not related intrinsically to the TT writer's point--In Simple Terms (IST, henceforth), your response/s originate/s outside the original scope of the author/s argument
 
(..perhaps they originate from a 'figment' of the author's argument, not from the author's argument per se :)
