Judy:
I am curious about how you reconcile
your interpretation of Isaiah 45 about the 'treasures of darkness" etc. with
"God is the Father of Lights in whom there is no variableness or shadow of
turning" (James 1:17).
Caroline:
1) Darkness in Isaiah 45 is not a metaphor for evil as it is in other
places in the bible. The syllogism of v. 3 provides the definition: treasures of
darkness = riches stored in secret places.
2) The Creator and the created/creature are not the same. To think so will
be to slide into pantheism.
Hope you have a good weekend.
Love,
Caroline |
