Damron said it best when he said, "it's different
but different in a good way." When I look at his picture, I see a brother, a
disciple and one shaped by the Lord for his corner of the world. I pray that the
Lord will protect Jay, that He'll increase his territory and that He'll bless
the ministry and all the people he ministers to. Capon said that our stories are
messy as we live it but it becomes clearer when Jesus retells it. Here is a
clay jar bearing the light of Christ. Lord, let no one break this jar or
extinguish this light!
BTW, what do you think of the Ashley Smith story of
that girl who changed the life of her kidnapper by talking to him and
seeing him as Jesus would see him? Another messy life retold
by Christ.
Love,
Caroline

Salvation -- and the pigpen
How very very sad; the boy has no idea; from what
I've read both Bakker children are quite bitter about the way
their parents have been treated. Jim may have
been well meaning wanting Christians to have a nice theme park
and all and apparently he
was charismatic but his gift was not from God and he allowed the
demons to set him up.
He & Tammy were living in 'fantasy land' and the
fall was devastating for a lot of ppl. jt.
Rolling Stone magazine Jay Bakker I dropped
out of high school. I can barely write. I'm white trash. I wear leather
bracelets and tattoos. But God has given me a gift to relate to people and
see the common sense of the Bible.
'A lot of people think that being Christian is about not
having abortions and not being gay,' Bakker tells his young audience, many
of them similarly covered in ink and metal. 'That to me is pathetic and
sad.' http://www.rense.com/general63/quiet.htm

I hope they repented and turned back to
God. Most of them were in leadership positions and they did a lot
of
damage with the choices they made. Have you
seen Jim Bakker's son? But then being emotionally
devastated
and tattooed from head to toe might not be a problem for you. Why do you believe
it judgmental to call
something what it is? Having no fear of God
is to call evil good. jt

attached to it. That is what I am after. And I
need those letters after my name to be received as a
writer -- not my idea; it is just the way it
is and why from the
Assemblies? There has been as much mess in that group as any
other. Easy to criticize. All of
these were "disciplined" by that denomination. I am at
this time a member of Foursquare, Intern'l -- The
school offers what I need. And you are no better than the people
you put down.
Remember? Off the top of my head I recall TBN, PTL, The Bakkers,
Swaggart, Branham, Jessica Hahn and if I worked at it many more.
So what.
The Assemblies
official teaching is (unless they have changed) that someone who
says they belong to Christ can not have a demon. Something I personally believe, as well.
The demons just love it because this
permits them to come and go as they please and they have a great time
at Church with the Assemblies. You
are so judgmental -- and you have no fear of the God you
claim to fear. Were you actually going to say
something of substance and just forgot or
what???
