Wow, Caroline—truly awesome.  I know the prophetic call for repentance in the Canadian church for anti-semitism was truly of God. I hope this is a swell that grows on both sides of our border.  What a great movement.  Izzy

I'm no longer as involved due to time constraints. I help out a friend who hosts intercession seminars. My experiences are varied. Mostly it's intercessors from various churches coming together to pray as the Lord leads for the city or the country: political corruption, body shops, education, native reconciliation, freemasonry etc. etc.

For a more detailed description of what is involved, check out this site which talks about one specific reconciliation project. This is one that involved Christians from across the country. http://www.watchmen.org/Journey/call-to-repentance.asp

That is really an interesting concept, Caroline.  I admit I’m unsure about it, but it does sound reasonable.  Do you operate in the warfare ministry?  What are your experiences along these lines? I’d be interested in input from other TT’ers.  Izzy

Jackson starts the book with anecdotes of people who went into spiritual warfare against Satan or territorial spirits and received major retaliations (in the forms of illnesses, financial losses, accidents etc.) He had a vision of these people throwing axes at huge beings but not hurting them because they were too far away. Then he saw those beings pick up the axes and hurl them back at the people.

He quotes Jude: In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!". Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals- these are the very things that destroy them.

People working in high level intercession such as city transformation or praying to bring down witchcraft, pornography, Masons etc. work in groups and they wait upon the Lord. The lone rangers and those who charge ahead on their own get quite hurt in the process. They often think it's the price they have to pay for engaging in spiritual warfare. But it does not have to be that way.

Our spiritual gifts come to us in seed form and we must grow and develop it. A gifted evangelist is a better evangelist the more he reads and prays and practices his gift. It's the same principle for the constellation of gifts for spiritual warfare: intercession, discernment, prophesy, wisdom, word of knowledge. Add to that the ideas of calling and anointing. People grow into those as well. And when it comes to warfare, nearly all biblical examples are like-minded groups working together. There is strength in numbers and protection for one another.

A friend, John Fenn, also has a great teaching video about the sin of presumption based on Deut 1:41-45. We don't go where the Lord is not leading.

After rereading this, I know it won't make much sense. It's impossible to compress years of training and experience into one post!

Love,

Caroline
