I'm not talking about John's baptism.  The apostles of Christ started baptizing people before Christ's crucifixion.  In fact, before John the Baptist was arrested and killed, the disciples of John were a little concerned about the fact that Jesus was baptizing more people than John was. Isn't it possible that this man may have believed and been baptized, then later was arrested and crucified?

I had never thought of such a scenario; I guess it would be possible but not probable IMO. What were the apostles baptizing for - was this also a baptism of repentance like that of John?  John says that God told him Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit (John 1:33) but we know He was not sent until later.

I have met people in prison who had come to believe upon the Lord but then ended up in jail for past sins.  I just
find it strange how people automatically assume with all certainty that this criminal was never baptized.  It certainly is possible that he was never baptized, but I don't think there is any degree of certainty about it.

I wouldn't be surprised at anything today, just about everyone thinks they are Christian if they are not Buddhist or Jewish.
and some have been sprinkled as a baby.  I don't know how many the apostles baptized before the cross but only 120 showed up at the Upper Room.
