Jesus was born of a virgin mother.  I believe the same

For I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me. (Isaiah 46:9)

It is not quite the same as the Bible Jesus! LDS Theology is VILE.

He was not "sired" by a man with a body, passion & parts! (DIFF Jesus)

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints proclaims that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in THE MOST LITERAL SENSE. The body in which He performed His mission in the flesh was SIRED by that same Holy Being we worship as God, our Eternal Father." (Teachings of ET Benson, p. 6).

He was begotten of the Holy Ghost (hence DIFF. Jesus)

Brigham Young "Now, remember from this time forth, and for ever, that Jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 1, page 51).

"They tell us the Book of Mormon states that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Ghost. I challenge that statement. The Book of Mormon teaches no such thing! Neither does the Bible." (Jo Fielding Smith Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, page 19)

How are we to understand this term "LITERAL" or in the same way? (DIFF)

"Christ was begotten by an Immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers," (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, page 547.)

"And Christ was born into the world as the literal Son of this Holy Being; he was born in the same personal, real, and literal sense that any mortal son is born to a mortal father. There is nothing figurative about his paternity; he was begotten, conceived and born in the normal and natural course of events,...Christ is the Son of Man, meaning that his Father (the Eternal God!) is a Holy Man." (Mormon Doctrine, by Bruce McConkie, page 742.)

He was Born thru SUPERnatural not Natural actions (DIFF Jesus)

"The birth of the Saviour was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood—was begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers." (Journal of Discourses, v. 8, p. 115).

"As far as this life is concerned, [Jesus] was born of Mary and of Elohim; he came here as an offspring of that Holy Man who is literally our Father in heaven. He was born in mortality in the literal and full sense as the Son of God. He is the Son of his Father in the same sense that all mortals are the sons and daughters of their fathers" (Bruce McConkie, Mortal Messiah 1:330).

Brigham Young said, "When the time came that His first-born, the Saviour, should come into the world and take a tabernacle, the Father came Himself and favoured that spirit with a tabernacle instead of letting any other man do it. The Saviour was begotten by the Father of His spirit, by the same Being who is the Father of our spirits." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 4, page 218, 1857.)

He was not Fathered like you were! (DIFF Jesus)

"In relation to the way in which I look upon the works of God and his creatures, I will say that I was naturally begotten; so was my father, and also my saviour Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, he is the first begotten of his father in the flesh, and there was nothing unnatural about it." (Journal of Discourses, v. 8, p. 211)

God was not guilty of taking Josephs wife & Mary was not God's wife! (DIFF)

"The man Joseph, the husband of Mary, did not, that we know of, have more than one wife, but Mary the wife of Joseph had another husband" (Brigham Young Deseret News, October 10, 1866)

Jesus is 100% God (DIFF Jesus)

"She, (Mary), heavy with child, traveled all that distance on mule-back, guarded and protected as one about to give birth to A HALF-DEITY. No other man in the history of this world of ours has ever had such an ancestry--God the Father on the one hand and Mary the Virgin
on the other." "The Life and Teachings of Jesus", 1974

FWIW....I may be wrong in my assumptions of what you believe about the following, but follow along to get a feel for what I am trying to say:

1)  I assume you believe Jesus was born of a virgin mother.  I believe the same.

2)  As I understand it, you believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost.   I do not.   I believe he is literalerally the Son of God, being conceived of the genetic (if that is the correct term) material of our Heavenly Father by the power of the Holy Ghost.

3)  You believe Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected 3 days later.   I believe the same.

Now, the above is a somewhat simplistic example, but I think it illustrates the point.  On two of the three points we agree.  On one we disagree.  Does that mean that we believe in two totally different Saviors?   Not in my opinion.

It does mean two totally different Saviors DaveH.  To begin with God is Spirit and your sect makes Him into some kind of a physical body.  When Jesus said "If you have seen me you have seen the Father" he was not talking about his  physical presence.  From what I am reading Mormonism tries to make God into man's image.  jt
