If the different versions have missing or added parts, which parts do you believe?  If it is only true as far as it is translated correctly, who decides what was correct and what wasn't?  Even those who understand Greek and Hebrew differ on how to apply meanings to the words. Those things bother me, but they are beyond my control.  There is nothing I can do about it.  It is in God's hands, but even He has allowed Satan to be the prince of this world.  Since Satan will always oppose God, one of his priorities must be to stop us from being in one accord and start to question one another, to stop God's children from agreeing and to have them start doubting.  If this is true, and Satan is continually interjecting or removing portions of the Holy word, then it stands to reason to me that the newer versions would be the ones he has been most sucessful in changing for the simple reason that he has had an extra four huindred years to scheme.  Therefore, my solution, the one I am least uncomfortable with, is to take the oldest of the versions we commonly use and consider it the most truthful.  I have to assume that there are no errors or I might start to pick and choose what I want to believe.  If I believe all of the KJV and am in error, then I trust in God to realize that I have done my best with what I had to work with.   Terry -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dave Hansen [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.langlitz.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you wish to receive things I find interesting, I maintain six email lists...
